Once a month Pop-Up Brighton puts on a curated short film night. Each month seeking out shorts from around the world and a open submission page for anyone locally or internationally to submit their film, then choose around 20 films to be screened. Some months have a theme and some don’t, because of valentines this month we have themed this month’s edition to love and heartbreak. We have handpicked the best current short films to that theme. There’s a broad selection from animation to poetry to sci-fi to documentary and even a short from a young local filmmaker about suffering with schizophrenia and the love hate relationship that he goes through.
Our February edition of the film club brings you a collection of shorts based upon love or heartbreak.
This isn't no chick flick.
Expect real stories about love and heartbreak. Amazing documentaries that make you think of modern dating in a new light. Some comedy shorts and sad heart breaking films.
So if you're spending this Valentines day with that special someone or alone then come along and together we will take you on a journey of amazing shorts submitted from all over the world.
Come and relax and grab a a glass of wine or a snazzy hot dog and sit by candle light in our comfy seating area and get into the valentines or anti-valentines mood with us. Free event.
